Comprehensive Inpatient Facility
The Orthopedic Center at Mission Hospital is a comfortable, full-service inpatient unit with 38 beds. Operating suites are equipped with state-of-the-art technology for complex orthopedic surgery.
The Asheville Surgery Center is fully equipped for outpatient orthopedic surgery, providing patients with the convenience of same-day surgery. Over 12,800 of our total orthopedic surgeries that do not require an overnight hospital stay are performed here each year.
Available Technology
Many orthopedic procedures utilize an arthroscope, a specialized instrument used to repair damaged ligaments or tissue within a joint. This minimally invasive surgical procedure requires only a small incision, resulting in minimal scarring, less post-operative pain, and a faster recovery time than traditional surgery.
